Silicon Balaise is a Brussels-based duo formed by Pierre Facchi (Alexe Françoise) and Tâm Nguyen (tangurex). Coming from visual arts backgrounds with a shared love for noisy, heavy garage riffs and a wide spectrum of eclectic sounds, the project was born in a dark bedroom in Schaerbeek. It became a refuge from perfectionism, a space to experiment, and to embrace our rawness, chaos and spontaneity in creation.

Blending heavy, sharp, electricity-filled guitars, intense drum machine patterns, dreamy synthesizers, and goofy sounds, we crafted an overwhelming soundscape in our debut EP, Bourdon Bénit.

For labo silicon balaise, the process is rooted in play: jamming, capturing the good vibes on the fly, and building on the unexpected gems found along the way, bringing this exact bedroom-jam mindset to the waves. Each show is an improvised studio snapshot, a collage of live jams recorded inside microwave’s studio, field recordings, current favorite tracks, and casual talking, layered continuously. The vibe is punky, no-wavy, rock ’n’ rolly, experimental and fun, shifting between overwhelming intensity and quiet calm depending on the day’s mood. Expect the unexpected, thanks for tuning in.
