Gare de Lyme is a duo of two friends from Clermont-Ferrand in France, Lily Margery and Paveramer J (Vampire Garage). They share a common sensibility that fuels both their visual and musical work. Since 2025, they have mainly mixed in radio formats, exploring diverse and eclectic sounds in search of affects and parasitic symbiosis. Their influences span DIY/internet music, folk sonorities, ambient, hip-hop and alternative emo rock. More broadly, sensitivity is the driving force behind their creative process. In parallel, they research and experiment with alternative approaches to traditional listening and sound production systems. Since autumn 2026, they have been developing their live set, combining sampling with acoustic instruments. This season, they join Microwave, where they host a Morning Show centered on sharing and on memories of first listens.
This morning show aims to give a voice to people who inspire Gare de Lyme's musical influences day to day, without being part of the DJ world. Guests are free to choose the format of their contribution: a conversation around a shared listening session, or a personal selection presented in whatever form they prefer, with or without interaction from the hosts. The project seeks to highlight an organic, sensitive and human way of sharing music, stepping away from the already all-too-visible logic of algorithms.
Particular attention is given to the sensitivity of the first listen, the memory attached to it, and the feeling of (dis)comfort that comes from stepping outside one's usual listening zone.
