Félicette is a Brussels-based band led by Sam, who initiated the project as an experiment in turntablism and sound manipulation. Over time, the project evolved organically, moving toward a more traditional singer-songwriter approach enriched with folk influences. Now based in Brussels, Sam draws inspiration from the city’s diverse musical landscapes while continuing to explore the project’s hybrid identity.

This exploratory spirit extends into their mixes. Sam enjoys creating unexpected juxtapositions, bringing together tracks that may seem far apart yet share a thematic or emotional thread. Depending on availability, some episodes are crafted not only by Sam but also by band members Mathilde or Abel, who live and/or work in Antwerp and bring their own sensibilities to the selection.

For their Microwave residency, "The Year of Félicette" Félicette seeks to weave together a wide variety of styles while shining a light on local artists. The residency is imagined as a space of exchange, where invitations to other musicians and friends can open up new perspectives, allowing the sets — whether Sam’s or the rest of the band’s — to become a shared playground for curiosity, conversation, and new ideas.
