DI, a multidisciplinary dabbler and art enthusiast, is based in Ghent & Brussels. Growing up, she played multiple instruments and received a foundation in classical music, which shaped her early understanding of sound. Electronic music remained unfamiliar to her until her late teens.

Her journey began with a bold fusion of genres, navigating a wide BPM range. She draws inspiration from a diverse array of genres, including ambient, wave, breakbeat, dubstep, leftfield, footwork, jungle, electro, riddim, bass, breakcore, and UK/industrial hardcore. Her chaotic taste in instrumental music mirrors her current multigenre approach to electronic music. Her clustered track selections are aimed at telling complex personal stories while maintaining a sense of harmony. She strives to incorporate unique and unexpected elements into heavily distorted sounds, with her main motive being to erase the harsh lines between genres.

The residency will feature mixes, each focused on a different theme, exploring specific sub-selections of certain genres. It’s simply an opportunity for her to experiment with music that is considered dancefloor-inappropriate and hopefully resolve her identity crisis in music while showing a different section of her music collection on each mix.
