Alejandra Vaughan is a DJ, selector and interdisciplinary artist with a background in photography and psychology based in Nantes, France. With argentinian, spanish and british roots she is the co-founder and curator of Herzschlag Podcast, a series of podcasts featuring the different palettes within the electronic music arts curating local as international music artists.
She has been developing her music identity since 2024, initially under the mentorship and guidance of producer and DJ Magna Pia, where she acquired the fundamentals of mixing. She continues to refine both the artistic and technical aspects of her craft, placing great importance on narrative set construction and specifically curated track selection. Since end 2025, she has also started herself into music production. Her body of work reflects her personal history and heritage, as well as the various artistic influences that inspire her; be it sound or visual artists and her selections draw from her travels as digging pieces ranging from local imprints to international ones.
Her body of work is built around deep techno, ambient, raw, organic and hypnotic sounds, drawing influences sometimes from UK house, melodic progressive trance, and breakbeat. Driven by a desire to explore and experiment with an eclectic mix of soundscapes and contrasting textures as deep atmospheres—selecting rhythms that vary in dynamism depending on the moment and intent—her work is defined by emotional depth, intuition, observation and an element of surprise. This translates into intuitive performances that adapt to the specific atmosphere of each venue and occasion: be it creating a set for a radio show or be it playing a set in a venue, each set has an intention for her and it is treated with different understanding of the craft.
Deeply inspired by nature, her own life experiences as her learnings from electronic music event photography and visual arts in her past, spirituality, and her diverse mix of cultures, Alejandra takes to heart club culture and humanist values—both in her creative work be it behind the DJ booth or on the dancefloor as a dancer herself—by fostering and encouraging a safe place for healing, letting go, authenticity, respect and connecting deeply with the audience.
Amethyst is a monthly onyric soundspace and meeting with the listeners driven by deepness, feeling, sensitivity and most of all:

This show is mostly shaped and inspired by the different seasons of the year and the intrinsic energy that each one carries within - starting with more introspective as « going-inwards » textures and atmospheres during autumn and wintertime to evolve and flow naturally and gradually towards more brighter and dynamic rythms during springtime and summertime.
Imagination and wandering takes place, an one-hour journey where organic patterns and nature-themed atmospheres go hand by hand with a more downtempo dub techno and hypnotic path to let yourself be carried by the flow of Amethyst.
A deep moment for the listener to be moved and be carried by its waves, maybe discover new artists as tracks, be inspired, dream, reflect, dance or smile.
